The Town of Red River is located in
Wisconsin, along the north east
shore of the bay of Green Bay. The Red River
Town Hall is located at E505, County Road S. Red
River took its name from the small stream of water which found its
way over red clay into the waters of Green Bay, and was known as Red
River on the earliest maps of the County.
Town Board meetings are held
on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM, and are always open to the

2000, there were 1,476 people, 528 households, and 419 families residing
in the town. The population
density was 42.5 people per
square mile (16.4/km˛). There were 601 housing units at an average
density of 17.3 per square mile (6.7/km˛). races.

under the age of 18 living with them, 71.6% were married
couples living together, 5.3%
had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.5% were

8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The
average household size was 2.79 and the average family size was 3.14.
In the town the population was spread out with 25.4%
under the age of 18, 9.4% from 18 to 24, 27.6% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from
45 to 64, and 14.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age
was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 105.3 males. For every
100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.5 males
